Barclays has increased the number of partner house builders signed up to its Green Home Mortgage from five to 13.

The product, first launched in April 2018, rewards homebuyers who choose to buy an A or B EPC Energy Efficiency Rated new build home with a slightly lower interest rate.

Barclays has new partnerships with the following housebuilders: Bellway, Bloor Homes, Bovis Homes, Fairview, Kier Living, Linden Homes, Persimmon Homes (including Charles Church) and Taylor Wimpey.

They have joined the first five housebuilders who signed up: Barratt Homes (including David Wilson Homes), Berkeley Group, Countryside Properties, Crest Nicholson and Redrow.

At the same time the lender announced cutting 95% loan-to-value mortgage rates in its residential purchase range.
